I read this book with my first graders and they loved hearing all of the different voices. It was so fun practicing the different volumes. Great for this grade level! It is realistic fiction because it could happen but has not actually happened.

Another great Julia Cook book. I like the 5 voice levels, but I guess this would work best if your class uses the same labels. My favorite takeaway is that your Outside voice gets you in trouble if you bring it inside, unless it's an emergency. I think my students will really get that.
