I was a bit sad with the ending seeing as who the traitor was but these things happen loads around Cassie so I guess it was unavoidable. Wish there was more of Pripkin and Cassie action as opposed to Mircea and Cassie since I'm not overly fond of the latter couple. Would like it a lot of the lot of them started treating her like a knowledgeable creature and not some slave to them all.

Cassie Palmer: TSTL. Within the first few chapters I was groaning aloud and and telling her to "Stop already and just listen to what other people are telling you!" But no, she just blunders on her merry way, causing mayhem as she goes.
That said, it's still four stars from me. Why? Because as infuriating as Cassie can be, this book is still fun, fun, fun all the way! I love the breakneck pace, Pritkin, the supporting characters, Pritkin, the vampire politics, screaming dresses, and er... Pritkin.
So, while I constantly feel the need to slap sense into Cassie as I'm reading about her exploits, I know I'm going to feel that way and just see it as part of emotional rollercoaster that this series subjects me to.
Also? Pritkin.

I like the series and continue to read it even though it does annoy me a bit. The writing is getting better and this book was easier to follow, but I still had to reread some sections to figure out who was talking or just to understand what was going on. On the plus side, it's has a lot of action and reads quickly. No lulls or pages of boring to push through. I will continue with the series.

This series is such a contradiction for me. Cassie kind of drives me nuts. And Mircea just doesn't do anything for me. An old vampire with long hair and an accent? Eh, it's been done. Cassie is all about insisting that she doesn't have feelings for her partner, but it's pretty dang obvious that there is something powerful between them. And KC has her and Pritkin together more than with Mircea! I honestly don't even understand the point of him.
I just with Cassie would admit her feelings for JP (and him for her) already. I want to reach through the book and smack her. But I'm biased. I ADORE Pritkin.

Thoroughly enjoyable, can't wait till the next one!
The fourth book in the Cassie Palmer series was well worth the wait. It had lots of action punctuated by periods in which Cassie could actually think. I found my mind wandering a little during these slow scenes but they were important to the story and to getting to know Cassie a little more.
I liked how the events in this book are concurrent with the ones in Midnight's Daughter... no wonder Mircea is so tired. I wonder if Cassie and Dorie will meet in the next book?
