King Henry order Draven to take his foe's daughter into his household for a year to foster peace between the two. However, Emily is determined to foster more than peace now that she has escaped her father's over-protective care.

This book was surprisingly cute and fluffy despite the sad angsty past of the hero Draven.
The heroine Emily was probably one of the most likeable heroines in a historical romance I've ever read. Which is a huge compliment coming from me, the notorious heroine hater over here.

Not bad, entertaining. But if you ask if I would read it again, my answer would be not. Do I still recommend it? Sure, if you like historical romance, it’s not bad.

A quite bananas hero who is somehow stronger than any supernatural PNR hero. He gets stabbed with three arrows, has them removed and the wounds cauterized, and then a week later, destroys a table and dias with an axe and then has sex standing up. He gets 20 lashes with a BARBED whip and goes into battle the next evening, with the only intervening treatment being a single application of linseed oil. BANANAS HERO.
