Cute, but not as fun or well-written as the first.

A great second book in the knitting in the city series by Penny Reid. I will keep reading these since they are super fun and lighthearted. They are fabulous on audio and included in my audible subscription!

Janie and Quinn have to be one of my top five favorite literary couples. This book was everything I could have hoped for in a sequel and more. We get more insight into Quinn, character development, and a super charming, warm-fuzzy happy ending. I devoured this book and am actually sad that it's over, because i want more of these two!

Really enjoyed this book which I listened to rather than reading. Janie is still just a bit too irritating, especially to follow along while listening. Quinn is still awesome and everyone needs a man this patient and understanding! Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I liked it much better than book one. Just five months into dating, Quinn is ready to marry Janie. She has different ideas about what should happen in a relationship before a wedding. This was a fun read that gave us a lot more insight into the characters than the previous book. Here we have duel perspectives from the love interests, which I prefer to have a better understanding of the character's motivations. I recommend this for readers of romance only after Neanderthal Meets Human and it might have been better to read it after book two because it contains some spoilers for that story.

I got gift cards for Christmas. I immediately bought this book and Beard Science. Penny Reid is the most fantastic writer ever. I love everything she does.

The one criticism I will say for this particular book is that Janie feels like she's dialed to 11. She's a little more robotic than in Neanderthal Seeks Human. Maybe it was just me or I just noticed it more this time around. Janie felt like a character this time and not a person.

That being said, I really enjoyed this book. I loved Quinn's point of view. It was really interesting to see how he viewed Janie. I'm looking forward to the next book.

A great continuation of the story started in Book #1. In my opinion, they should be read immediately back-to-back. Full review on my blog:

Really enjoyed this couple. I thought some parts were a little way too far fetched and the use of the word slamp really annoyed me but other than that I loved it.

I absolutely loved this continuation of Neanderthal Seeks Human. Penny has such a way with making you fall in love with her characters that you never want their story to end. It’s not only the main characters that make you love them, but secondary characters as well. I don’t think I have ever read a book by Penny that I didn’t love. She fleshes out her characters and makes the plot on that you never want to leave.
