Not as good as the first book, but it was still fun. I liked that it was full length even though it was #1.5 and it set the scene for the rest of the series.

Really liked the first book. This one was just okay. The main character Janie’s quirks from the first book were a little too much this time and she came off more annoying.

Read as part of Neanderthal Seeks Human: Boxed Set.

Same great characters with fewer LOL moments and a lot more sacchrine.

Spoiler The whole proposal sequence was roll-my-eyes over the top.

I somehow missed this one while reading the rest of the series but picked it up since I've been suddenly felled by the dreaded COVID (vaxxed and boosted - who would have thought) and needed something to take my brain off of my cough and body aches. This did the job admirably. And I teared up several times, which might have been the COVID (or not).
