a book pilfered from eva’s bookshelf - about alternate realities, families, darkness. i liked the gentle, soothing rhythm of the book even amongst the violence and fear the author writes about. i liked the ending, the way it was tied up so neatly and yet also unraveled

I am not really sure how to rate or review this book. I feel like something might have gotten lost in translation. But, from what I did read it was very intense sense and the beginning. Plus, reading it was a bit disorienting, but I think that was the point.

Overall, I didn't hate this book, but I didn't really enjoy reading it either.

The blurb sounded so very intriguing but vague enough that I didn't know the whole plot. It was intense, sometimes difficult read and very !much more serious then i could have imagined going on. Was more in for a thriller kind of book but this was more of a distopian but a very good book and I'm glad I didn't know much going into it

Not for everyone, but I loved it. This narrative is wild, in a good way, though there is no clear distinction between speakers’ sections nor, in some cases, their voices. The plot comes together at the end, clearing the confusion and, for me, the text was written (in my case also— translated) beautifully enough to keep me engaged.

Oj vilken bok.
