She’s Gone was a really interesting YA thriller, following the disappearance of high school senior, Chloe, and her boyfriend, Hunter, the last person who saw her alive has no memory of that night. After the disappearance of Chloe, Hunter begins the search and to connect the missing dots, while being the main person of interest in this investigation. He discovers a fight that happened the night of her disappearance, and unable to know what they were arguing about, he does anything to find out what happened to Chloe. I loved these characters, I felt they may have been a little cheesy at times, but full of twists until the very end.

I got this for my birthday in a mystery wrapped book. It was a pretty good little book read really fast

This book went crazy. It was somewhere around chapter 75? (Yeah its one of those books that has a chapter every other page) I think. It was leading up to a conclusion to the mystery. Involving the teacher… that moment made my stomach sink dude. I couldn’t believe that was where it was going. Luckily it didn’t go there but it could have. It was

Definitely a lot happening that had me all over the place for about 77 pages. I realized what happened and who did it when Hunter went to the crash site and ran into who he ran into. Trying not to spoil it for new readers

Not a bad mystery. Kept me wondering the whole time. I’m just confused why Daniel was filming Chloe and Hunter’s parking-lot-discussion in the first place. Sure he was a filmmaker and liked to shoot everything, but he had no idea what was coming. You would think he would be at the dance and inside the gym, filming the students for a coming-of-age movie or something.

And I know why Hunter took matters into his own hands, but some of these things might have been better if he sent the police anonymous tips about his suspicions. Like the car. The police would have looked at it and seen the freezer in the garage without the possibility of Hunter getting into legal trouble.

Good story. I enjoyed it.

Edit: something that has been bugging me is that Hunter barely reacted when he saw Chloe’s body. That’s weird
