I only realised about halfway through that this was the sequel to ‘Off Season’ and that was why I didn’t grasp everything 100%.
It felt rather rushed at times but the book did its job as it freaked me out and made me squirm basically the entire time.

I loved Ketchum's "Off Season" and was looking for a similar book in "Offspring." However, "Offspring" (and I'm sure I am echoing many of the reviewers) was very different. The novel wasn't necessarily badly written, but it seemed rushed at times. I did not feel the same pull to most of the main characters as I did in "Off Season." Not to give too much away: I still feel it was worth the read, but warning to readers: it is very different.

The worst sequel I've ever read.

A story about a strange group of people in the woods attacking families in their houses. It ties with another incident that happened 11 years prior to the same cops. A lot of blood and torture.
