This series is super nostalgic for me since it was one of my favorite books as a kid and was my introduction to fantasy. Rereading now I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it holds up! Are there some problematic hits that remind me that it was written 30 years ago? Sure, but honestly not as many as there could be. I love Alana and all the characters in this series so much. It's fun and dramatic and adventurous and this book is a great end to the series.
