I'd like to say that this is probably the worst of her books I have read so far. Especially as the writing I felt like was truly struggling in some parts, alongside the general setting of events. I felt like also you can see a whole lot of elements inside of this book which will be recurring themes inside of her writing and following books. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience and this further treasured this woman in my heart, although it's definitely my least liked book, although it might also be due to the main character being so distant from me.

This was one of the most painfully straight books I've ever read. Elena Ferrante's writing made it worthwhile though.

Um livro com uma prosa mansa, mas com temas pesados. Violência, patriarcado, abuso infantil, assédio… tantas coisas narradas como fatos corriqueiros… a estória é um tanto confusa, misturando memórias, faz de conta, traumas e desvaneios da personagem. É o primeiro livro da autora que leio e me agradou bastante!
