I don't like Junie B. Jones as a character. I find her annoying and rude. However, the books are entertaining for early readers.

"And that is what I call heartache, madam." (Said to the girl in the furry pink coat.)
My son and I laugh out loud at these books. This was a particularly good one.

The saddest part is that pen probably falls to the bottom of the box and gets thrown away at the end of the year.

I've always loved these books
I read the majority of these books during my childhood. I'm re-reading them in hopes my daughter will fall in love with them, like I did. The only downfall to this book is it talks about identifying "crooks" as people who have tattoos. As a heavily tattooed mother who holds a nursing license and has never broken the law, this connection was a little disheartening. I don't want my daughter making the connection with this this stereotype because it is in a children's book. I don't want her passing judgement on tattooed people just because she may identify with this character.

Maggie and I are flying through the Junie Bs. We read this one because we were having a little trouble with too many 'Finders Keepers'. We enjoyed it so much that we started back at number 1 and have started plowing through them. These books really are so much fun.

I was relieved she put the nice pen in the Lost and Found. Also, I could appreciate how happy she was about her furry mittens.
