I read this for uni and umm I'm not sure if I'd recommend it or not. It is an interesting read for historical and queer social history reasons but its also deeply disturbing. Please check all the trigger warnings before picking this up and be careful.

The writing was pretty but this story had way too much sexual content . The attitudes of the men in this book were mostly despicable, especially Des Grieux and Teleny (even though their love felt quite genuine).
