FMC with past trauma either are great or annoying and Samantha was slightly annoying.. she self sabotaged a decent amount and tried to handle things herself instead of asking for help..

This book had all the makings of a good story but it just never culminated. The FMC is a royal pain. She's chaotic and annoying. The MMC is dealing with a crazy girlfriend. For all the therapy she bangs on about she is toxic and unhealed from her trauma. There were way too many supposed bad guys in this story by the time we deal with one there is another waiting in the wings. This story stretches on and on and then has the nerve to end on a cliffie.

I enjoyed the story, but the sex was repetitive. Now I love smutt as much as the next person, but when I got to a smutty scene I was like “ugh, this is just like the last sex scene”
