I read this book a long time ago and didn't realize I hadn't marked them as read. That's why there is only a rating

This is just bad. 50 % in, and literally only 48 hours has passed in the story. I'm not comitting myself to the rest of the 13(?!?!?!) Books in this series if they are written like this.

Frankie has found out more about her mom's love interest than she wanted, and she's mad because her guys kept it a secret. They keep messing up by trying to protect her, and what they cannot understand is that she's more than capable to make her own decision and to protect herself. In this book they dive more in depth into what they feel for each other and how their relationship can work.

I really love Frankie. She's strong although she doesn't know it. Her guys make me angry sometimes, but slowly they are starting ton understand what they did wrong and keeping secrets from Frankie to try and protect her is not the way to go.

Extremely soft DNF. I’ve been enjoying the books so far, even though they’re YA and I’m not, and knowing there’s a lot of books in the series I’m sure I’ll get to watch them mature. I’m also pretty sure I’ve figured out who’s giving her flowers, though I’m not sure if that’s going to get nasty stalker weird or if they’ll get together or if it’ll just be messy emotionally. But I’m just not in the reading mood for where I’m up to in the story.

Definite improvement

I did enjoy the first book, don’t get me wrong - but I found this book had a better defined plot. This book had an antagonist, which was lacking in the first one. I particularly like how Frankie is assertive with the guys. I also love the realism of the school work they have to do, and how all the drama is affecting Frankie’s work.

All up, I’m feeling more invested in the plot. Onto book 3!

Another really weak climax. Long seems to be totally unaware she is writing about high school teenagers. Her obviousness on that point is really hammered home every time there is a sex scene between the kids. Also, considering the series is about a 17 year old girl why is a 40 year old model used for all of the cover artwork?

This was just not great. It was pretty long and only covered a week, yet nothing really happened? Frankie is a weak little girl and the boys do not have distinct personalities. I enjoyed the first book but will not be continuing the series

Very slow, so did not hold my attention. I will try again later.
