"Everything we do, you see, has its consequences and repercussions, every kind act, and every bad, every friend we make, and every enemy. Everything is connected."

In How to Seize a Dragon's Jewel Hiccup is an outcast, with his dragons, and surviving on his own and still trying to make things better and to finish his quest of finding the Lost Things of Grimbeard the Ghastly.

We will find out Fishlegs heritage and story & Hiccup's mother, Valhallarama, reasons for being away for so long.

The stakes are higher, everything is so much darker and turning upside down...

Hiccup, Windwalker, Woodsfang and Toothless

Will they find the Dragon Jewel? Will they finish their quest? And what became of Fishlegs?

This may be the best HTTYD book yet! A series that started with loads of poop jokes and a naive storyline has grown into such a complex and well written series. Hiccup is growing up before us right on the page, and the messages put through this series are messages/lessons that are strong and powerful. It's about growing up and changing (accepting and denying it), about youth butting heads with old traditions, about prejudice and slavery and friendship...honestly this is such a brilliant book. I cannot wait to read the conclusion.

my favourite so far!! they’re so grown now and the action was more intense with so many stakes. loved that hiccups mother was brought into this story and that fishlegs’ history is uncovered further. was already looking forward to reading about the jewel, and this did not disappoint
