I do not recommend this graphic novel adaptation of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. It’s not well done. Please read the original novel instead.

Read this for a book group and didn't expect to enjoy it at all, but it was great! Agatha Christie is a household name for a reason. I didn't see the twist coming AT ALL!

Good adaptation of the original novel with great artwork. My favourite of the graphic novel series (those I've read) by a long shot.

This was a really gripping read for me. Although I already had an inkling as to who the murderer was before the pieces started to fit (probably because of all the hype built up around the book so I just had to go with my wildest guess), the experience of finally being told who murdered Roger Ackroyd was only very minutely tainted for me.

Everything reads like a game of Clue. You get handed the facts and are given the liberty to form your own hypotheses from them. From this experience, I am definitely going to be reading her other novels.

Miss Agatha Christie, you have yourself another fan.

I had never really been into Agatha Christie novels, but this one was very good. It had such fine details that added up to a great ending.

Since this book has been described as "controversial" and "making people unable to guess the murderer", it didn't surprise me when the murderer was revealed to be who I thought it was...

Not one of my favorites due to its shortness -- too much is crammed in too little time, unnecessary narrative frame, very similar in structure to other short stories of hers.

Well, I did not see that coming.

The mystery is good, but the way in which the narrative is condensed makes it virtually impossible to keep track of the huge cast of characters and their relationships or to understand the significance of the small timing-related clues as they're revealed. I would recommend reading this adaptation only after finishing the original novel.
