I was so excited to pick up the manga after watching some of the anime and the manga did not disappoint! The mysteries in the first volume were really good and twisty and I enjoyed them very much. There was humor and action as well which really worked great with the pace of the manga.

I am so sad now though cos I never liked the fact that Shinichi got shrunken and he stays shrunken almost ALL the time throughout. I just think it would be more fun if he were a normal high school detective instead of a shrunken high school detective because the story would still have worked.

However, I’m going to put my sadness away and enjoy the rest of the series. There are so many volumes and it’s still ongoing so let’s see how far I make it!

Considering I haven't used MAL in a while, I'll start recording the mangas I read here as well.
Now, onto the actual reading: I LOVE Detective Conan. Watched the anime when I was a kid and God knows how many times I tried to catch up with the manga. I always end up getting distracted and forget where I'm at.

I've decided to change that and get serious with it once and for all.

Shinichi Kudou is a prodigy, amateur detective who aims to be the best (As most of us do.), giving a helping hand to the actual police way better than most professionals do.
By a sad twist of fate, his ass is Benjamin Button'd by a shady pair of men belonging to a shadier organisation after being given a mysterious drug.
Now, in the body of a kid, he must find the way to turn back while also solving cases left and right.

It IS a product of its time and most cases are cheesy as hell, but you end up being hooked despite it all.
Wish me luck.

This was funny and interesting, but when I saw that it had over 100 volumes in the series, I lost a bit of interest.
