This was wonderful. I should’ve known. Cara Dee is a great author and she has a way writing characters that can jump of the page. I love how real her books feel. This was special. I needed/wanted more, that’s why it’s 4.3 stars. I love when we get to see the couple live together over an extended period of time. And in a lot of her book, Dee gives us the start and a little bit of the middle, and then a massive epilogue.
I left a lot of notes for myself on this book. The premise of the older editor and you get author, is perfect for a young writer like me. I loved the age gap here and Jack was just so steady and grounded. I loved everything about him. Isla is perfect for him.
Am not saying this right, my words fail me. But yea, I loved this so much. Might reread again.
Loved Aiden and Chloe too.

I didn’t connect with the characters, though I enjoyed having two pairs of MCs. This felt like the book was setting something up for later books in the series rather than developing these relationships for their own sakes. Meh.

Inappropriately Yours
Ahh... this one was bittersweet for me since I read Gray's books before making it to this one. I loved all of the characters and getting their background on how they became family.

I was really looking forward to this book. I have been eager to read these characters’ stories ever since I saw them appear in the “Auctioned” series — but this book did end up falling a bit short for me (unfortunately). :(
I wish that ”Inappropriately Yours” had been longer. It didn’t feel as though we were able to spend enough time with these characters / either relationship & the relationships themselves seemed too insta-love-esque for my tastes.
(others might not mind that / feel differently, though!)

I actually read this awhile back, but I can't remember when...and I never marked it as such so here we are! I really liked this story. I thought it was cute but also steamy at the right moments. There was a bit of insta-love but not to the point that I minded. I enjoy Dee's writing and I like this setting so I'll definitely be reading the rest of the books in this series.

Eh. Not my favorite by this author. There wasn't a 'spark' for me. Maybe if you read more MF contemporary than me, you'll enjoy it more?
