Cringeworthy stories that make your Prom night sound like Hollywood magic.

This was an ok collection of stories. The best part was getting to "meet" Kim Harrison's Madison Avery for the first time.

Pretty lackluster collection overall. Harrison's contribution was interesting because it's clearly the precursor for the novel that followed two years later & I liked Myracle's retelling of the 'careful what you wish for' story. It was basic but the writing was at least lively. Cabot's entry was entertaining but forgettable--I can't even remember enough about it to comment, and I just finished the book a few minutes ago. Meyer's contribution was, predictably, offensively stupid and irritating with its simplistic dichotomies and shallow characterizations. I would've liked the entry about the superhero girl a bit more if the dialogue didn't try so hard to sound cool and original--it was getting more than a little Diablo Cody up in there, and not in a charming way.

1st story:
She´s Buffy! I´m mean, she´s exactly like Buffy. The same style, same guns, same enemy. I can almost hear the music lol
Since I like Buffy, I liked the story, wish it had other chapters.
2st story:
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT END? BLAH! The story is great, looks like a E. A. Poe written by a woman. But then the end is just...
3rd story:
It was fun.. but I little to predictable. And again, without a proper end. But not that "can´t wait to read more" way... that "ah? ok, no ending again" way.
4rd story:
Believe in the title. The good part is, we have an end! And a really good end in my opinion.. I felt like I was reading those kid books when, in the end, some character gives you moral lessons about what happened.
5rd story:
Don´t have time know. Soon lol

Prom with unthinkable twists to it! Each keeps it ungory, true, and delves into tangible emotions. Great read after boring chick-lit.
