How can a climax last 500 pages and feel rushed at the same time?

I really loved this book and series. I could totally imagine myself reading this at a younger age and getting really attached to it. That being said, it is definitely going down as one of my favorite series. I really enjoy that it is a classic fantasy quest, just done really well. And so excited that I have a sequel series waiting to be read now as well! I would recommend it even without the additional story, but I won't complain to have more about this world and characters.

This second part of the final installment definitely takes the story and action up a notch. The characters face some crazy stuff. The scenes in the tunnels and in the ancient ruins of the Sithi castle got to a pretty creepy place, and not to mention a desperate place, that I really ended up liking. It lent a heavier tone and darkness to the story that made it stronger I felt. Also, love the 50 pages or so of revelations at the end, again classic. :)

CW: death (including of loved ones), violence, grief, war, blood

This was a great conclusion to this series! I think this was the book that has kept me most engaged in what was going on out of all the installments in the series. I'm already looking into the subsequent books to read and am fully planning on tackling the new series sooner rather than later (although, of course, this must be taken with a grain of salt because I have an immense list of books I want to read "soon").

I loved seeing the person Simon has grown up to be and I loved experiencing how everything concluded in the end. When done right (an0tuer example I can think of is The Wheel of Time and The Expanse), the end can really be the high point of a series and Tad Williams has definitely achieved this with To Green Angel Tower!

UKUPNA OCENA ★★ 2/5
1. Ideja ★★✫ 2.5
2. Priča ★★ 2
3. Stil ★★★ 3

UTISAK - Jednom rečju, predugačko. Umesto treće knjige koja je podeljena na 2 dela od po 800 strana trebalo je sve spakovati u 500 strana i sve bi bilo odlično. Previše opisa i ponavljajućih stvari.
