This story reads like a fable and tells why evergreens keep their leaves. It is a long story so it would be better for an upper elementary read aloud.

Lovely illustrations, though the language used was a bit too formal for my taste.

Pretty nice context but the flow goes off near the end, the illustrations are very unique.
