Erich Kästner is my new favorite author since I have recently discovered him (although this book was written nearly 100 years ago!)
I love these boys, their depth, their joyfulness, honesty and truth.
Kästner is such a great storyteller, I smile and cry through his books and adore the children.
I wonder what his childhood was like. :-)

Man vienmēr it bijušas ļoti tuvas Ērika Kestnera grāmatas. Un man bija prieks izlasīt droši vien pēdējo viņa grāmatu kādu es jebkad lasīšu. Man šīs grāmatas ir tik mīļas, jo autors raksta grāmatu kā sarunu. Tātad, kamēr tu lasi, tev ir tāda sajūta, ka tu sarunājies ar autoru. Un šajā grāmatā tas bija stipri jūtams. Šo Kestnera grāmatu es izlasīju ātrāk nekā citas viņa grāmatas - nepilnā dienā.
95% varoņi šajā grāmatā bija vīrieši, un man pietrūka sieviešu klātbūtne. Vienīgā sieviete, kas grāmatā bija, tika iepazīstināta pēdējajās 10lpp.
Kopumā stāsts bija interesants. Tikai bija arī daži nezināmi noslēpumi, un man ļoti nepatika, ka šos noslēpumus nevis atklāja stāsta gaitā, bet gan uzreiz, kad uzzināja, ka tādi ir.
Es arī redzēju iespējas grāmatā notikumiem risināties straujāk.
Bet galu galā, tā ir bērnu grāmata, tāpēc es arī pati nedošu savu vērtējumu zvaigznēs.
