Just thinking about sadie’s books and how well developed they were makes my mind twist more. after reading a few of the other reviews to try and understand what i’m feeling about finishing this serious. This last book was tough to get through there was so much yet so little, towards the end i felt like it was rushed and the jagged movement in the mates relationship was giving whiplash rather then tasteful writing. Ig that’s the main theme of the entire series but i digress. Again i loved the writing shown throughout the entire series.
focusing on this book though I knew it would be a struggle for me as soon as i read about the war in the last book, ik it was violent before, and yes ik fantasy is meant to have an uprising, war, or serious conflict for the plot to fully develop but this was just sick and twisted. Although the lack of smut raced around at all times reading i loved the round robin and wittiness i received. the back and forth kept me intrigued. the twins was just so thrown out of nowhere and i love when im genuinely shocked about a plot twist. they were a nice addition to the mates; although, i kinda suspected it would happen and obviously i picked up on scorpious’s little tinges and side comments about john and luka. on top of the war the banter and humor was high on my list of likes about this book i just wasn’t entranced enough, i needed more, more smut, more drama, more thruple action, and more closure. those reasons remain why i have given this book a 4⭐️( it would be a 4.30 if that was an option but i think 4 is more of an overall rating and review). one more thought: with this many characters i’m surprised i wasn’t overwhelmed, maybe sadie’s book and her mates allowed me to adjust.
i’m sad to be moving on and i truly enjoyed reading a fantasy book, i don’t do that often and i feel ready to tackle long series now more then ever before.

I am obsessed with this whole shifterverse! I adored Sadie and am over the moon for Aran! Definitely check triggers as Aran’s story is even more traumatic. This was a good wrap up for her and her guys. The wit and snark are immensely entertaining, and I found myself literally laughing out loud at times. Definitely recommend! The narration was pretty great as well.
