I’m disappointed

I’m so aggravated and upset with this book. There should have been less useless banter and more on the relationship development and about the war. I was also so disappointed with Sadie. We had 5 books that have already expressed how hilarious and stupid (in a funny way) these two girls are together. There was no need for it constantly being mentioned in this one. Like I said this one should have been centered around her relationship with the twins and kings. Also, there was a moment where Aran was trying to be vulnerable with her and Sadie wasn’t taking it seriously and just kept making everything about it her. At first I thought she was trying to be funny and then would be like jk now you can talk to me but nope she was just being super selfish. I’m honestly super disappointed 2 stars is being way too nice…

Eh it was OK. Cringey things the kings did weirded me out lol
I know it's fated mates stuff but for goodness sake if they don't plan to shelter and hurt anybody that so much as breathes in Aran's direction, it's kind of painful.
I felt like there wasn't any lasting consequences funnily enough, everything went from 100 to 1 very quickly and leaves you thinking that the end of the book is some weird fantasy.
I didn't like how they got rid of Aran's depression that quickly and her problems, there's no magical solution for stuff like that in our world and it just felt like the purpose of her depressive state was for the MMCs to feel guilty for her and then poof nevermind.
There were a lot of things dumped in to the last like 200 pages that would've been very interesting to look into but alas it wasn't to be. She was so mentally poorly through the other 2 books that it's ridiculous it just disappeared when the necklace made the bond do something weird lol. Obviously she was still struggling but like, things don't get fixed overnight in a lot of circumstances especially with mental health so it just felt kinda short.

Cannot believe for the life of me that they SET HER ON FIRE FOR AGES and then theyre like "whoopsie sorry didn't mean to now that you're our missing mate".??????? Goodness me. The kings were too uh sadistic for me to ever think of redeeming them, they hurt Aran too much and only stopped completely when they saw she was their revered. It would've been better at least if somebody that was not supposed to be the love interest set her on fire in that scene or just not at all thank you. It was borderline okay until you think hey these people don't have any justification for what they did to her. It doesn't matter that they're sorry, setting somebody on fire Is NOT okay. It would've been interesting if a non love interest did it and they all got upset at that person because that makes sense. Speaking as a female lol, setting your love interest on fire is not a good way to make then like you, I don't care that it was before they realised that, it's ridiculous. As a general person, setting people on fire is weird and freaky and so so grossly wrong.
They did some horrendous things but this is just plain ridiculous.

Anyways it was nice that she for a hae but come on man try harder. The whiplash between the MMCs behaviour would make me sick and worried about when they would switch again.

So this review will be for Aran’s three books. I want to start off by saying this was definitely darker than I thought it was going to be. Aran went through a lot and I def related to her story more than Sadie’s. It was a struggle I will admit at the end to finish this one, which is why I gave it a 4 star. It was SO long and it took forever for them to get their hea and if anyone deserves one it’s Aran
