i take it back, i actually love every character.
i can’t believe i finished all 6 books in a week, i wasn’t expecting liking them so much when i started.
these are actually good, and the only criticism i’ll accept is about the titles.
also i’m so glad we got the happy endings WITHOUT pregnancies. every book nowadays has to end with a fucking baby as if that were the pinnacle of happiness and i find it infuriating lol
now i’m gonna miss the characters 😔😔

By far my favorite part of this book was the journal entries. I could have read 50 more pages of them going back and forth. I wish all the build up of them mating and the sexual tension had a bigger payoff - but overall it was a good end to the series. This was definitely more a comedic romantasy series than I thought it would have been.

I liked the first 5 books except for the ending of the 5th book. I thought that the "best-friend" John was super creepy and weird. Then it turning out that he had a twin brother that was even creepier. The fact that they both suddenly turned into love interests and Aran agreed to marry them when she didn't even know one of them was disturbing. Then they gave her enchanted jewelry and didn't tell her what it was doing to her was awful and manipulative. For them to become the main love interests in the 6th book was awful and I completely skipped the sex scenes with them because I thought they were gross. It also took away from the story line with the kings. I felt the book would have been much better if they had remained side characters. While I found the therapy sessions and journals funny, the complete emasculation of Corvus was just awkward and not realistic. I get that he was a raging misogynist in the earlier books but it would have been a better story if he had a better redemption arc. Also, as others mentioned, it was just too long.
