**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Pride is the second installment in the Elite Series. The Elite Seven HAS to be read in the order that the authors intended. Each book ties in with the next. You will be missing important information if you try to read as stand alones.

Pride - Mason Blackwell

Mason was forced into this Elite society. He was manipulated into being the alpha of the group. He didn't want to be there but he was doing what he had to do. The angst and anger that Mason feeds off of is intense and written so well. There are so many twists and turns, the suspense factor is huge. The secrets are being reveled and you want more. I am loving every minute of it. You get a little taboo treat which boom instant favorite.

I can't wait to see what's next from these authors!

Note: An ARC was provided by the author. The full review can be read on Dog-Eared Daydreams.

Pride was one of those reads that made me wish I could jump into the story and do some seriously bad things to one of the characters, i.e. the villain. Is it possible to hate someone THIS much?! I mean, argh, I so wanted to hurt them for what they were doing to not just Mason and his sister but to a whole host of other characters. I can’t get into the whos and the whys haven’t been fully divulged, but I’m now rather invested in seeing this series through given that the lives of the seven guys and their significant others are entwined. This book isn’t my first J.D. Hollyfield read, but it was definitely a surprise given that it was her 2 Lovers series, which was co-written with K. Webster, that I had previously read and those were romantic comedies. Clearly, Hollyfield does well in the romantic suspense genre, too, packing Mason and Megan’s story with loads of both romance and suspense. Pride gets 4.5 stars and has me excited for the next one. ♥

Sweet holy titfire. I would give up all the Oreo's in the world to thank the author who had the idea to collaborate with all the different authors to recreate the seven deadly sins because this series keeps getting better and better.

Twists, suspense, steam, secrets, and sinister intentions are just a few of the elements that this series offers. I love that each story ends with a peek of what and who is to come.

I’d like to thank Terrie for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated, so I read Lust which was book 1 of the Elite 7.

So this book was so much more intense than the first one, I actually really loved this one compared to the first one!

Mason was so intense. I really liked his character, how protective he was of his sister as well as his new “brothers”. Although we saw him as strong and fit we saw the sensitive side that Mason did have and I really loved that. Mason and Evie’s story was so heartbreaking I felt so bad for both of them.

I really loved Megan and Mason together, they were so cute. I felt they had a really good connection and I also loved the student professor thing, although there wasn’t much emphasis on it. I loved their relationship.

I felt like mason had a lot of responsibility with his brothers and I like how he took care of them. I love Evelyn and I love that she just wants her brother safe.

The sex was very well written. The story was very well written with a very compelling storyline it kept me hooked and gripped all the way through. The ending, what an ending! I cannot wait for the next one. I don’t really want to go into really full detail about the plot because I think you should go into it not really knowing much!

Much better than the first! What a complex story that is brewing! There wasn’t one thing I didn’t like about this book. I enjoyed that there’s a bit of an explanation as to where everything is coming from regarding the Elite. The elusive Pride, the leader, has quite a story that not only drives this novel forward but really drove the first one and sets up for the next one. We know that she isn’t the only giving orders to the new Elite members and based on how the one guy is acting (Wraith, I think) I suspect he’s linked up with someone high on the chain as well and we will see a challenge arise.

Both characters are fairly well designed. Mason is....my goodness. He has such a heartbreaking backstory that continues on through this one. It drives this whole series forward and is so powerful, even as its continuing in the present. Every time something goes wrong for him, I wanted to scream at my screen. Megan is oblivious to all this. And I love how she’s the good, proper professor who has a passion for wanting more sexually and is willing to go out and get it. So many times we see the guy be the one to awaken this in the woman, but I love how she initiated it all.

On that note, the romance is much better developed than the first book. There was a better beginning between them that moved into a super hot teacher-student romance. Nothing felt rushed and it all felt well-paced. With Mason’s story leading up to the Elite, plus his task of her, I felt that this novel was well developed, paced, and not rushed.

Holy moly what a freaking book😱

This is Mason Blackwell (Pride) story.

This is from a new arthur for me and one that I'll be checking into her other book's and see what their about.

Mason hasn't had an easy life. He and his sister were foster children and the people they thought they could trust they realized they weren't getting any help from anytime soon.
He's brought into The Elite as he's the alpha he's Pride and he's about to learn he'll have to swallow his in order to save his sister.
He soon finds out that even though he doesn't want to be in this Elite group he's found 6 brother's who are willing to ban with him to stop this group, but they find out that The Elite is always one step ahead.

Megan is his love interest this is one girl who will surprise you and him as she falls for this big guy, but she has a secret that he's only to happy to help with. This book had such chemistry and heat between these 2 characters you could just feel it oozing off the pages.

I loved this whole book it sucked me in from page 1 to the end. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it there would be always something happening on the next page.

Run don't walk to one click this book. It is definitely a must read and if you haven't read Lust book 1 grab that one as well.

This whole series is just getting started Wrath is next and I can't wait to see what's in store for us readers in it.

This is just my opinion and my review

We meet Mason and his sister, Evelyn at their current foster home because Lillian, their foster mother has accused Evelyn of trying to seduce her husband. Their case worker splits them up just for the night. Mason ends up in a juvenile detention center meanwhile his sister is under 18 and their foster mother, Lillian becomes a certified social worker and orders Mason to do her bidding.
This book was just as twisty and a mind blowing adventure as Lust. I loved all the characters especially Meghan, Mason and his sister, Evelyn. Can’t wait for Wrath
