I have almost zero knowledge or interest in politic, so I don't know if I'm qualified to judge the book. For me, the idea of communism actually makes sense, if a little bit naive. The idea must have been revolutionary in its own time. However, as I'm reading it right now, IMO it feels a little bit outdated.

Aside from the content, reading the manifesto was so hard because it has SO MANY COMMAS and compound sentences with so many clauses. Why Marx why.

Dicho lo dicho, poco queda por decir de este libro. Se ha hablado tanto que no hay demasiado que pueda yo incluir e innovar. Me limitaré a repetir cosas que agudamente notan los introductores de esta edición. Marx y Engels tienen un contexto muy particular, el siglo XIX es un momento de cambio constante. Al final su valor queda en su primera sección, las demás están casi por completo desactualizadas, incluso para los años que alcanzaron a ver sus autores.

Pero aún así, recomendada lectura. No es densa, abierta a todos, a los experimentados puede verse como un resumen de todo lo que dijeron Engels y Marx en sus otros libros. Su lectura casi imprescindible porque, con todo lo que dije antes, como mencionan Hobsbawm o Berman, no deja de ser una obra de una claridad tremenda de los mejores observadores de la sociedad del siglo XIX y del capitalismo moderno como se estaba desarrollando.
