This is the tenth in this cozy paranormal mystery series. I've read these more for the likeable characters than for the mysteries, but I was a bit disappointed in this one. While this whole series is very positive, this book just seemed too positive and too perfect in terms of how situations were resolved. The set up for the mystery as great and the resulting ghost was fun, but I was disappointed in the resolution. When you read this series, you know that the children are a little too perfect and everyone is a little too innocent despite all the horrible things that have happened to them, but you read it because it would be nice to think things really could be like that. This one just began annoying me roughly halfway through. Mary just seemed to be floating through her life. I also got tired of the whole set up for the spin off. I had been looking forward to the wedding, but I found myself flipping through the long descriptions of minutiae. I would have liked more Tracey and Margaret. I bought the next one, but maybe I'm just done with this series.

Now that Gary is dead and Mary & Bradley are happily married, this series could have been finished with this book. There will be a new series with Sean, which I might want to try someday!!
