A hands down fantastic resource for those who would like to familiarize themselves with a deeper, truthful understanding of ADHD. Dr. Hallowell is a world renowned expert on the subject. He writes with warmth, compassion, and wit that makes the read enjoyable as well as eases the pain of those who know first-hand the struggles associated with ADHD. With this book I came away with a better understanding of the way my brain works, why it’s not “my fault” or a personal failure that I’ve had certain struggles, and a healthy reminder of my strengths and unique abilities.

Pretty good, but the author can be annoying at times and spends far too much time discussing what his female patients were wearing and how they looked.

I’m going to have to buy my own copy of this book. There’s a lot of useful and relatable things in here, and easy to read for someone with a short attention span

I was late diagnosed at 30 with ADHD after years of speculation in my adult life, and fear I was correct and wouldn’t be taken seriously, or fear that I was simply just lazy. I saw a lot of myself in this book, and the case studies. I think that the last chapter was too information dense to end on given the nature of the book, but otherwise found it engaging - I even appreciate the humor of “did you struggle to reach here” for the 100th question.
