Great resource for anyone who has ADHD or knows someone with ADHD. The author describes the experience of having ADHD and educates readers on common misconceptions by relating the experiences of a wide range of people with many types of ADHD.

Hallowell has done a fantastic and thorough job for describing ADHD and what steps you can take to better yourself. I myself do not have ADD/ADHD but the book was enjoyable nonetheless. My rating would've been 5/5 but he adds a lot of filler text.

Recommended to me as the most helpful book on ADHD, it certainly was. Practical examples and explanations were given that helped me better understand and have compassion for those in my life with ADHD.

Most interesting part was all the way very end. I think the book could have been a third the length and imparted everything you needed, especially if it cut the stuff about kids and just threw that in another book altogether. Some junk about repressed memories in there that ought to be updated, as I checked out an edition published pretty recently. It's overall maybe a little too forgiving but still had some helpful and fascinating stuff mixed in
