I wasn't expecting this to actually be a romance novel. ... And I don't mean that as a good thing.

This is my first Karin Slaughter book, and it will also be my last. There were several explicit sexually romantic scenes that I didn't care for, which completely ruined my otherwise complacency for the book. No, I'm not talking about instances or discussions of rape, just the romantic sexual interactions and thoughts  between the protagonists.

The story is told from both Will's and Sara's perspectives, with Sara's seemingly being many more pages than Will's which I found kinda annoying. I thought this series was centered around Will?

Again, if I'm looking to read an actiony thriller, police / federal agency related or otherwise, I'm going to go with other authors like Preston & Child or John Sandford. Their books don't have any of that romantic sexual garbage in it.
