Not as good as Cantral Park or The Girl from Brokklyn but still great

This got more and more outrageous as it went on. Towards the end it was a bit of a slog, I think this was a result of the stilted writing style and how unbelievable the whole situation had become.

Slow-paced, melancholic, claustrophobic novel. The story unfolds piece by piece and each is just as surprising.
I see that some people find many references to other cultural works in the book a nuisance, but I disagree. I think that many of them are spot on and help build the main character as well as his surroundings.
I enjoyed the climate, the story, and the characters.
