"'You always say that there is nothing more deceptive than a photograph.'"

"I studied the pictures as closely as possible. There was something artistic, something creative about them."

"'...but the photographer certainly knew how to capture a moment... He captured a fleeting moment and transformed it for all eternity.'"

This was honestly one of the best thrillers I've ever read! So twisty and full of secrets and hints! All the characters were flawed and tortured and I loved every second of it.

This book was a bit underwhelming. I don’t know was it something to do with the translation from French, but it came off as very boring. I didn’t like Thomas. I wished there was more about Maxime and Fanny.

I ‘ve just finished this book, and honestly, it really looks like he’s different than the other.

For those who have read a novel by this author before, I would say this novel starts slower, but the mystery behind the story looks more organized. Unlike some who move around a lot in search of a mystery, this one takes place in a more restricted place, but the time period is bigger. Each character has its own place and I found it very powerful to discover them as we go through the books. They are very constructed, and quite distinct from each other.

I would say this one is much more intriguing and mysterious than anything the author may have written. A real treat for the eyes if you like this author.

once again, this author knew how to transport me in his very own world.
