Phenomenal. For some reason I didn't "love" the first book. I think I was initially overwhelmed by all the characters and the plot lines but I loved the end. This sequel carries on directly from the ending of the first one and that is why I loved it so much! I knew the characters already and really enjoyed seeing what was next in their story. The book highlights racial inequalities so well with even subtle details/events that happen. The characters' experiences are betrayed so realistically and I am sad we don't have a part 3!

oh wow..this has been the wildest book i have read in awhile. possible murders, cheating, racism and god knows what. i really enjoyed this book, i couldnt put it down..i just had to read more and more and more. 100 pages in an hour is fucking crazy but ANYWAYS the only thing that left me bothered was the whole kemi&ragnar relationship..was it necessary to happen? because i really hate cheating tropes and honestly tobias (kemis bf) deserved more, like i didnt want them to end up together and with CHILDREN. i hate it when kids are supposedly be able to fix every issue in relationships..FALSE. and this book really upheld it which annoyed me, i loved kemis character, she was absurd, crazily emotional to the point where i was like girl you fucked him by choice tf u crying for, but she was reaaally well written. obviously im saying this because shes a woman, ragnar sounded hot but hes the type of man to ruin your life and he will, cus he can and will get away with it. either way he sounded really fucking hot. i'm umm happy for brittany, that woman had been through too much but is it bad that i hold up hope that jonny and her will end up together...he was quite mental though and the whole fetish thing got me like ?????? nigga bfr....but yeah i liked this book...maybe even loved perhaps!

Yaaaa this really was not my cup of tea. It could have to do with this apparently being a sequel?? (I did not read the first one) the only thing that kept me going was how messy Kemi was.
