I really thought I would love this story. I just liked it. It dragged for a really long time but I just had to know how it turned out. The last chapter or 2 were really like a wham bam. Nick was a good guy and got a mainly nice HEA. Brandy got the high life she wanted so badly. Jimmy the ex-best friend the slept with Nick's now ex-wife, I knew he was hiding something else. Shelly the ex-wife, I can't really say she got what she deserved, no one deserves that. I was truly shocked by her turn of events. All in all it was a decent read but I have mixed feelings about the book.

Nick and Shelley had it all, a home, their first baby on the way, all he ever wanted. Nick came home from work early because he wanted to surprise his pregnant wife with a weekend get away. He is the one in for a surprise when he finds his wife, and best friend in bed together. He packs his things and takes off to Miami. Shelley got the house, the BMW, and just about everything he wasn't able to fit into his suitcase. The only thing he can afford is a dump of an apartment. He sulks until he eventually is forced to accept a job making half of what he was before. Things start looking up when he meets Lacey, she is pretty, petite, blonde, and everything Shelley isn't. Shelley assures Nick the baby is Jimmy's (his ex bff) until the DNA tests come back. He has no money, and she wants 200$ per week, he doesnt even have a car seat to pick Hannnah up with. Party girl Lacey gets deeper, and deeper in drug dealing, and trys to pull Nick in with her. "It's for Hannah she needs a crib, her own bedroom, a house etc." Of course things only spin out of control from there. At times I felt sorry for Nick, he really got the raw end of the deal, but then he would let Lacey manipulate him with sex. The book was really good, I enjoyed reading and couldn't wait to find out what happened. Best thing is it's only 2.99 on Kindle! :)
