This was surprisingly entertaining. Witty, critical, easy to read and yet innovative.
I was a bit disappointed with the last arc, but that might just be me.
It‘s gives an intense insight into the life of a poor girl in the beginning of the 1930s.
I also appreciated the extra material that framed the book, its author and publication a little.

The early 21st century German slang was beyond entertaining. So refreshing to read a historical novel that didn't feel stuffy or stilted (as much as i love this sometimes). Effortlessly covers heavy themes of gender, class and rising national socialism under it's flighty, seemingly superficial exterior.

It's a good lil window to the life of a woman in 1932 who struggles with finding out what she wants plus coming from the lower class so there's a problem with money. Also the writing is really interesting. A bit like a diary but not boring like Anne Frank. It's fictional ofc maybe that's what makes it more interesting. But it has the feeling of being real. It's very much possible to live her life like it's described in the book.
