Надеюсь, что я не разучилась читать Пилчер, а просто выбрала неподходящую книгу для возобновления знакомства. Когда-то в догудридзовскую эпоху я прочла Shell Seekers and Winter Solstice, и они были прекрасны. А это как-то ни туда ни сюда. Написано хорошо, но ни о чем. Причем так неторопливо, будто это роман на 1000 страниц. Экспозиция на полкниги, потом по целой главе герои лезут на гору, любуются природой, покупают юбки. А потом шир-пыр, злодей проявил злодейство, трагический хэппи-энд, все свободны.

Though I really liked how the story started and made me think what might happen with Jane's story, the ending felt rushed like the author just said, "idk I'm finishing this book"
