I can always count on Declan Rhodes for terrific characters that I'm going to want to revisit. Distant Replay gives us that in spades by bringing in past couples in the series. This book can still be read as a standalone, but for those who have followed from the beginning, it's a special treat to see where those other great couples are now.
This fourth Living Legends book focuses on Zane and Andy with a second chance romance. With a bad breakup in their past, miscommunication is bound to happen, and we have an additional bit of angst concerning Zane's job. True to form, Rhodes tempers the angst perfectly with witty dialogue to add a bit of levity to the situation.
All in all, Andy and Zane's story is a great addition to the series. It's loaded with engaging characters, sharp dialogue, romance, a bit of steamy goodness, and of course, the great American pastime. On that, I have to give props to the author for including some actual game play in this sports romance.
