Great first book in series! This feels like the perfect series for 8-10 year olds.

They are relatively short chapter books with great illustrations and a story that pulls you in!

I liked all of the mystery and fantasy that surrounds the story. There is just the right amount of suspense for younger children to keep them excited without being scary.

Looking forward to the rest of the series!

It was a cute book, but it's clearly just an intro to future books and has very little substance in its own right. I mean, the story is about children of divorced parents finding faeries, and there is literally only a singular fairy right at the end, so.

3.5/5 stars! This was so cute and so fun! I'm glad I'm finally reading these and it makes me want to rewatch the movies

I read these books and watched the movie ages ago and it was time for a long overdue reread!
I love the world Holly Black and Toni DiTerlizzi created more than any other.

I could write more but I want to start the next book immediately.

It was a fine story, but not too engaging. The family dynamics were not great either. Very simple feeling, but it is written for ages 7+ so that tracks.
