Had I known this work was a play. I probably would’ve never borrowed it. I think because the two nerds who recommended it to me don’t seem like the type to enthusiastically recommend a play. However, I’m glad I tried, and the longer I spent listening the more I could really see how a marine biologist and a computational biologist would be very drawn to this one.

For anyone interested I would definitely suggest listening to it over reading it. There’s a fantastic version on Libby

I think when Wes Anderson would make an incredible movie adaptation of this, just saying.

Stoppard writes at such a high level, using allusion and allegory like no other living playwright. I understand just enough of it to know it’s great but not enough of it to fully appreciate its perfection.
