I was less crazy about this book because my favorite character, Ethan, was featured a good deal less. However, I loved the way the ravens were incorporated. I wasn't sure how much I liked Drystan, but eventually I came around. The plot seemed to move a little slower in this book to me and I'm not sure whether that was a good thing or a bad thing. I very much enjoyed Patch and I hope to see more of Ethan (and learn more about him) and Patch in the next book. Still enjoyable, still interesting, just the weaker (in my opinion) of the two books.

This book felt like a filler book in the series. Ethan was gone pretty much the whole time and nothing at all was answered. Feels like a waste of my time but good writing to make me want to know what is happening! Onto the next one I go!

LUCID was everything I was expecting and so so much more!
It was a great second book in the Brightest Kind of Darkness series!

This book was amazing.
P.T. Michelle outdone herself , and I can't wait to see how she will surprise me in the 3rd book!
So, if you are into paranormal books,
something a little different from vampires or werewolves.
A book with no angst, or drama.
A story that will consume you.
Mystery and romance that will make you gasp and make your heart swell.
Read this series!!

I cannot wait for the 3rd book!

I loved, simply, purely loved this book! XD

Let me just begin by saying I missed Ethan so much in this book. But I think his not being there made me understand and appreciate Nara a little more. I actually like her better now. Kudos to the author for doing that. In letting Ethan leave to repair his broken relationship with his parents, she let us establish a better relationship with Nara. I'm glad that life didn't stop for her when Ethan left. She had a life outside of their relationship and when he eventually comes back I find that their relationship is stronger.

I also think Lainey redeemed herself a little from the previous book too. I have to admit I didn't like her at all in the last and found myself wondering why Nara liked her so much. When Harper was introduced as a potential best friend rival I thought there maybe something to this, like the author was shifting us away from Lainey. Of course that was for like five seconds, before Harper started being creepy.

Then there's Drystan. Gotta love Drystan. He was a walking bleeding heart for Nara from the minute they met. It was so obvious he liked her and she seemed a little oblivious to it. One thing I don't like about Drystan--though there are many things I do love about him, everyone reminded him that Nara had a boyfriend, including Nara herself, but he still went for it. I think that's a little sleazy.

I felt like the questions I had in the first book, weren't really answered in this one. It was a lot of character building but almost no plot. The entire time I was reading I felt slightly directionless. Although I enjoyed my aimless delving into the characters life, I felt like I needed a bit more direction.

Now I have even more questions than i did before. I love this story, the characters, and I hope the next one will have a bit more plot. Despite that I will definitely continue with the series!

Lucid was spellbinding, very much like it's predecessor: Brightest Kind of Darkness, it keeps you enthralled, trapped in suspense and trying to unravel mystery after mystery until the very last page, where like Nara... you feel satisfied, yet not at the same time! *snigger*

P.T Michelle is a mastermind at keeping you on your toes!

Okay so after book one, we know that Fate is out to get our little heroine Nara... yes I'm saying little, even though - according to Lainey - 5'8 is really tall! (I laugh at that, because I'm 6'1) I'm just going to jump in and say I love that Nara actually said '5'8 isn't that tall' I could have just kissed her and P.T for that. Why? Because in a lot of YA fiction, girls are either really really short, and voice it several times or at 5'8 would voice that they are a giant. So for all the tall and short girls out there that groan and roll our eyes at those little parts that are overused in all those amazing books... I thank you P.T for being different!

So I started Lucid in great anticipation to find out what could possibly happen next to our delightful heroine and her steamy leading man Ethan and got quite a shock. Ethan, was away for most of the book, trying to mend his relationship with his parents.

So like Nara, I went through Ethan withdrawals.

Usually with books this is when another sexy man comes in and makes the heroines love waver for the original sexy, sexy man.

Meet Drystan... sexy sexy Welsh man who had girls coming left and right just to listen to him whisper sweet nothings in their ear with his sexy Welsh accent.

Worst part: Still going through Ethan withdrawals and terrified Nara would waver like every other nitwit heroine out there.

Best part: SHE DIDN'T WAVER!!

I should have never doubted Nara, or P.T!

Drystan is an amazing character, who like Nara isn't all that he seems! Their friendship was a fantastic part of Lucid, and I'm really really interested to see what will happen to that friendship in book three now that the leading man Ethan is back! (He better be back for the majority of book three or I may just curl up into a ball and cry) I hope that it stay's a friendship. Dryst needs to find someone else... like me for instance! I wouldn't mind stealing his heart away from Nara, although I would probably go to jail for it. (oops)

When Ethan did come back... oooh boy, it was worth the wait! (just LOVED the feather concept)

I want to quickly mention Gran, who has got to be one of my favourite characters in this series, I just love her... she's a woman after my own heart! She has wacky competitions with her evil neighbor! Runs away from her retirement home and climbs up trees to get through windows!

As I said before, P.T is a mastermind of mystery and suspense! There's soo much that I want to know about certain characters and mysterious powers that my mind is reeling, sure we find out some information but the big secret is still that... a secret! I bow down to you P.T for keeping such a tight lid on it and not making anything too obvious! I'm sure when you unveil the mystery, the pieces will click into place, but until then I'll be salivating for book three... not only for the romance, but for the amazing intrigue of this splendid series hopefully coming to light... and not to mention Ethan's pants finally coming off... hopefully.

I could go on talking about Lucid forever, and I doubt I remembered to type out everything I wanted to say! So despite my crazy rambling, I hope that I've intrigued you enough to pick up your own copy of Lucid, or Brightest Kind Of Darkness if you haven't picked it up yet... because you are definitely missing out if you haven't!

This book was a good follow up in the series but I really missed Ethan in this book. I liked some of the new characters like Drystan and Matt but I really missed having Ethan in the story. It just felt like something was missing and I'm sure that was the point. I really felt like this story moved and I loved learning more about Nara's grandmother and thought it was definitely interesting that she had been visited by a blond-haired man. I will say that I don't know who this Danielle girl is but I'm betting she is NOT Ethan's cousin. Her tone was just way to blase and too think she had the right to answer his phone? That's something a catty wannabe girlfriend does NOT your cousin! I loved Drystan and I felt like he really spent more time than Ethan getting to know Nara. I know that Ethan loves her but I'm sensing that he's going to have to make a decision in regards to Nara and whether he wants to be with her or he wants to be with Corvus like him. The end of the book kind of bothered me which is why this one only gets 4 stars instead of 5. Ethan just showing up and acting like the jealous boyfriend kind of pissed me off. First of all, you're the one who bailed on Nara and then made it seem like you didn't want to be around her. Secondly, you're keeping some massive secrets, I just know it, and you don't want to tell her despite the whole "together til the wheels fall off" thing. I think Ethan is just being supremely selfish and it irritates me that I actually like Drystan more right now than Ethan. Ethan needs to switch his attitude because I don't care how much he thinks he loves Nara, he is going to lose her if he keeps with the secrets and everything. Overall, I can't wait for the next installment! I'm addicted!

Really good sequel in my opinion. I did miss Ethan though, he only appeared in the last 40 pages so that was a bit of a let down. There was even more mystery in this one than there was in the first so I can't wait for some answers in the third part!

I really liked book 1, but I loved this one. We are already introduced to most of the characters and now get deeper into the story, find out even more about their powers and see the characters develop. There are always multiple things going on and this book definitely had that keep-reading feel. I even stayed up late to finish it.

I love the story of this book, it's original and there's so much going on. There are normal things goin on, like the normal life of Inara and her best friend. And there are these small incidents which seem inconsequential and in the end turn out to have significant meaning. There is more about Inara's powers and even more mystery surrounding it all. It almost picks up right after book 1 ended, but gives enough information that a re-read of book 1 isn't needed.

The characters are another thing I love about this book. The lead characters are great and I loved learning more about them. Inara is a storng and etermined character who makes a great lead character. Her best friend is always there for her and even though she doens't know everything that's going on with Inara she still is there for here and tries to cheer her up. We even meet two interesting new characters. But the minpoint of this book is that Ethan isn't much in it. He is away to visit his family and we don't get to know a lot about what's going on with him. I really hope we learn more about Ethans side of the story.

What I like about this world is that it actually is a close to normal world, but still weird things are going on. I really like Inara's power, dreaming her entire next day. It's an original concept and the author really worked it out well. Also there is so much mystery still surrounding it all and also now Ethans new mysterious tattoo.

To conclude: A really good and origianl story. I loved the story and wanted to keep reading. The characters are really great and I liekd them even more in this book. I also love the world and how closely it resembles our world and the originality of Inara's gift. I really enjoyed this book and am really looking forward to book 3!

Lucid completely upped the thrills and dangers. It was thrilling around every turn and I was hanging on to every word! I absolutely loved Brightest Kind Of Darkness, and Lucid took us even more into Nara and Ethan's world and I absolutely loved it.

Lucid starts off where we left off in Brightest Kind Of Darkness. Ethan has gone off to smooth things over with his parents and figure out more about himself. All the while, Nara is still home and trying to sift through her own powers and her connection to Ethan. As Nara searches more about herself and Ethan, violent things start to happen to her. Thank goodness for new friend Drystan, and her old friends who are there to help her. But, when things take a dramatic turn, Nara will have to use all her strength and Ethan's to finally figure out mystery around her mysterious power.

I have to admit, I really missed Ethan in this installment. I totally fell in love with him in Brightest Kind Of Darkness. Let me just say though, when he finally "shows up" in Lucid... he really shows up with a bang and I cannot WAIT to find out more in the third book. In his place (well sort-of) we get a new hot fella, Drystan. First off, completely smoking hot name. Second... accent! Oh yeah this boy has the looks, the accent, fighter skills, and honestly he is so protective and a sweetheart. I really started to fall for Drystan as we got to know him more. I loved how he was there for Nara when Ethan wasn't. BUT I am still an Ethan girl! Another character who is back and always there for Nara is her best friend Lainey... and oh gods I love her! She is funny and protective, and totally all you could want in a best friend.

Also... shout out to Patch! I freaking love that bird.

Lucid took Nara's journey through a whole new bunch of twists and turns I wasn't really anticipating. She kept so much strength through out this book. Her strength while Ethan is away, her strength with her friends, her strength with her family, her strength through the dramatic events... I was very impressed. With how Lucid ended, I am SO excited for book three. I cannot wait to see where everything goes. And, I adore how P.T. upped the thrills and intense moments. This series just keeps getting better and better and I need book three!

Again, as i have written in many reviews, which happen to have sagas, I wasn't diasspointed from "Lucid" the 2nd book of P.T. Michelle's series.
Should I write about the mystery, the nerve breaking dreams and the funny moments? Or about the (ehmm) steamy scenes of the ending? :P
Nope I would say that the author threads a well made web of plot, emotion and action. I can't wait for the third book!

READ ITTTTT!
