Cute children's novel. Heard the audiobook version which was really well done and kept the kids interested on a long car ride.

I guess this book really isn't good for me. Cause I loved it.
Okay, anyway, onto the review.
I love this book, and I love this book series. It's similar to [b:The Bad Beginning|78411|The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #1)|Lemony Snicket|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1436737029l/78411._SX50_.jpg|1069597] or just those books in general, but way more eccentric. I love how the narrator has a personality, and how the story is fun and quirky. The way the clues and stuff connect to the secret society. And overall, I just loved it so much! And the way the arcs of Max Ernest and Cass continue from the first two books is just.... top tier. I love these books, and they're childhood favorites. I love them, and I love this one too, especially the way it plays with the senses, and makes the characters have to think outside the box in order to escape the trouble they've gotten themselves into.

3.75 ⭐️ (maybe even 4 I don’t really know)

So! I really enjoyed this chocolate adventure!

At this point we know our cast of characters pretty well coming into this third book. So we didn’t need to spend a whole lot of time introducing them or learning about the world like the last two books.

Once again I really liked Yoji’s edition to the group. And y’know what? I know these are like 11-12 year old kids but damn can’t Cass just be with both Max-Ernest and Yoji and not have to choose?
