If your have sexual abuse trauma take caution. There are SA graphic content in this book that made it very hard to get through, but finishing it was a great and inspirational book.

Amazed at the strength it took Silvia to live through her trauma, find a way to heal, and share her story in great detail. I’m at a loss for words for how to describe the connection and vulnerability she builds throughout the book.

This was powerful stuff, especially hearing the author read it herself, allowing her passion and humor to shine through. Silvia Vasquez-Lavado has accomplished feats of epic proportions--not only summiting the highest peak on every continent, but also reckoning with her history of experiencing abuse, and helping others do the same. I also cracked up at multiple points in her story...her retelling of holding in her 💩 while nearing the Everest summit made me laugh out loud.
