I was not expecting to have major feelings about this story, so it surprised me! I finished the audiobook in just over 24 hours. I was captivated by Leo and Holden right away. They’re great examples of how life really doesn’t work out how you may plan, and that sometimes it’s okay to figure things out as you go. It’s been a while since I have cried over a book, but hell did this one get me, largely due to Holden processing the loss of his mother and grieving over the memories they were robbed of due to her sickness and passing. It gave me all of the emotions which I was not anticipating. The ending was adorable! I loved all of the sarcasm and the fluffy bits which balanced very well with the spice.

Such a cute book! I’m not normally one for the fake dating trope but they (gasp) actually talk to one another and acknowledge their feelings and work through things in a healthy manner rather than jumping into an ill fated relationship!? What a crazy concept! (Boyfriend material - I’m looking at you
