A must read for fantasy romance fans!

Just finished this book, I couldn't put it down!
Dual POV, great main characters, love the story and the worlds of the light and dark elves! The spicy is perfect

Where do I begin? I loved this book! If I wasn’t reading it, I was thinking about it.

I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun while reading— the last time I was so invested in a story.

The world building and lore was just enough to provide a background while not being an info dump.

I cannot wait for the next in the series.

4 ⭐️ Such a quick, fun, enjoyable read!!!

“If you asked me for the sun, I would find a way to give it to you. I can deny you nothing, my love.”

WHAT TO EXPECT:
✨ light and dark elves
✨ bold, kind, non-virgin FMC
✨ wary, self-loathing, possessive MMC
✨ forced-marriage
✨ enemies to lovers
✨ political intrigue
✨ smut
✨ HEA

This was great, especially for a debut novel! I will legit read anything Charlotte writes.

I love Elvie and Arkain! Their romance was everything I wanted and so much more. They’re sweet, spicy, and deep. Absolute perfection.

This was a really fun, fantasy romp!

Though not the most groundbreaking book I’ve ever read, I thought it was super enjoyable! Who doesn’t love a good ol’ HadesxPersephone retelling? Weirdly enough, one of my favourite parts of this book was that it was an elfxelf pairing! I’m sick of humans. I wish more heroines were otherworldly creatures!

My only issue was the editing. There were a lot of inconsistencies! Is Elvie’s hair gold or silver? Is there grass on the ground or snow? There was also some spelling/grammatical errors that took me out of the scene. Since this is Charlotte Swan’s debut, these things are understandable! Overall, I was able to overlook them and enjoy the book!

This was a fun quick read. I really liked our FMC she's a sassy IDGAF if I'm a princess kind of girl, that has some goblin brat energy. She was just fun, she wasn't allowed to leave the castle, to suddenly not allowed to leave ANOTHER castle and was like.... yo you have a library? I'm Good. Sign me up let's read my smut together. Like GIRL SAME.
The plot was an easy read and fairly predictable, but again this is very much a comfort read.

Why are y'all so scared of making FML's older than in their 20's??? Especially if they are elves that live for centuries. Took me right out of the story.

I really liked this book, overall a great story and world building. I tend to stay away from stand-alones but I kept seeing this on tiktok so I caved and I was not disappointed!

It’s good for what it is. The ending is rushed, but overall enjoyable.
