Gin Ichimaru remains to be super creepy. Kaien's story was sad, but I liked the quote that there are battles to protect life and there are battles to protect honor. A lot of shonen series have this concept, but I understood it the most here.
Random Thoughts:
Matsumoto seems to know Gin well(humanizes him a bit).
Byakuya Kuchiki seems like a heartless bastard.
Spoiler
He (allegedly) framed Toshiro so Momo would fight him. Toshiro meanwhile has an awesome water-ice zanpaku-to move.Spoiler
Also Rukia's execution was moved to ONE day! Ichigo is powerful, but I'm not sure if he can help especially against whatever Gin has planned.Random Thoughts:
Matsumoto seems to know Gin well(humanizes him a bit).
Byakuya Kuchiki seems like a heartless bastard.

- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? It's complicated
- Loveable characters? Yes
- Diverse cast of characters? It's complicated
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Get a back story a situation that happened, and you find answers. As things change. And it's about to get serious

Not much happened in this volume. Wonder how many volumes it’ll take before Rukia is saved from execution?

And the plot thickens. Im actually really glad we’re getting to see more of the captains and vice captains. And that some people are changing sides.
