I didn’t know this was an anthology. So I am feeling thoroughly scammed.
I did adore Marcel and Gisel, however, their story gets cut short and it the rest is just meh. Totally don’t need to be an anthology.

Main story is cute! The way that this volume is formatted made it slightly disjointed. There was many cute little stories between the ending of the main story which I wish wasn’t at the end. Definitely wish it had been with the rest of the main storyline rather than far between. I wish we had more of Entangled With You it did feel like a huge unfinished tale.

Ahh this started off going in such a positive direction, but I didn't realize that this was an analogy. I wish that it primarily spent time on Marcel and Gisel more.
Entangled with You: The Garden of 100 Grasses starts with a story focused on Marcel and Gisel who meet after Marcel's sister becomes sick while they are in the forest. Marcel and Gisel make a deal that must be fulfilled 10 years later. Unfortunately, the manga doesn't solely focus on their relationship which I found to be beautiful and tender and extremely reminiscent of Beauty and the Beast. Aoi weaves in other short stories that are beautiful and delve into the romantic relationships shared by several couples; however, it felt a little disjointed and I wasn't sure if there was supposed to be a common theme (outside of plants and nature) that binds the stories together. The artwork was beautiful, but the storytelling did fall a little flat and I found it to be rather disappointing.

I love reading anthology comics but this was probably one of the weaker volumes I've read. More because half the volume is dedicated to one very good story and then the rest are different stories. It's not advertised well enough that its an anthology and tbh the volume would have been better just focusing on the Entangled with You story. The stories after it are way too short to leave and impact and feel very rushed and forgettable. I do like that the volume tries to have theme and narrative driven stories rather than just simple tropey romance. But also the volume doesn't really feel like a BL romance book more just happens to feature it ig. The first and last stories are the only ones I really liked. The middle three were just poorly executed.
The art wasn't too good too, it does it's job and looks nice enough but I felt it was very plain and boring. Alot of talking heads. Obviously making comics is hard and deadlines are a thing so it can be excused as the style is easy on the eyes at least.
It's not terrible but I wouldn't go out of your way to get it unless you really like a different type of BL story.

Loved the art style, but I did not know going in that this was an anthology and — as is the case with every manga anthology I've read — the stories were too short. All of them felt incomplete since none of them got the length necessary to tell their story in a satisfying manner. The first couple the anthology followed and the last couple were my favorites. Both pairings deserved a whole manga dedicated to their own stories.
It's a quick and easy read so if you love BL and it peaks your interest I'd give it a go. Just be prepared to be left feeling unsatisfied once you've finished it.
