Not what I expected. Thought it would be funnier and have more humor.

3.5 stars: a fantasy food/romance manga about a young noblewoman who loves preparing and eating monster-meat - but this gives her a creepy reputation, because unless prepared properly (which nobody else seems to know how to do) monster-meat makes people sick. Her reputation means her choices of making a match by the deadline her fed-up stepmother sets are terrible...until she encounters the 'Blood-Mad Duke', a man known for his skill in monster-hunting, and he takes a shine to her because of their compatible interests!
Lighthearted and kinda cute, but it still touches on the sympathy between to characters who are each socially isolated for different reasons, so it's not complete fluff. The strong food angle means this might appeal to fans of 'Delicious in Dungeon'.

Content concerns: no swearing, nudity, drugs/alcohol, or sexuality so far; a mean stepparent (sharp words, raised voice, unsympathetic attitude); occasional fantasy violence (fighting monsters with swords) but nothing gory; matter-of-fact discussion of butchering animals (monsters)

This digital ARC was obtainable via NetGalley for an honest review!

"Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! vol. 1" was such a fun read!

"The Voracious Villainess" and "The Blood-Mad Duke" are a match made in monster heaven. Melphiera loves to eat monster meat but is looked down upon by doing so. Duke Galbraith loves to hunt and cut down monsters just as much. I love that through their first meeting they had chemistry. It was actually love at first sight!

I thought this manga was pretty cute. The two main leads are such weirdos but perfect for each over. Both really adorable and shy because they’ve been treated poorly by most in society. I’m curious to know more about her research and why she does it, how her mom started it. I would like to see more romance between the two main leads in future books in the series. More backstory on the ML would be nice too.

Thank you to netgalley, the publishers, and the author for the ARC I read.
