Wonderful, wondeful book!!

Stargirl isn't real, but I wish she were. The first book was good, even though Leo seemed to lack something (maybe that was the point). The second book was beautiful to me. It was sad and real and heartbreaking and I even cried a few times.

I love books that are full of hope, and characters that are full of life and motivation. Even though [b:Love Stargirl|846984|Love, Stargirl|Jerry Spinelli|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1195088814s/846984.jpg|23288] was incredibly depressing at times, it did have hope at its core.

Favorite line: "Ain't no before Grace."

Nah, di buku ini, Stargirl sudah menjadi makhluk bumi dgn orangtua yg juga Homo sapiens dan tinggal di lingkungan sesama manusia "normal" lain. Jadi saya lebih suka buku ini.

Meh. The Stargirl in this book is not the same Stargirl from the first book. Stargirl has far more awareness of her surroundings in Pennsylvania than she did in Arizona. I doubt the original Stargirl would not have pined away for a guy (that treated her terribly) for an entire year.

Rereading this as an adult (and I’m pretty sure I read this when I was very young) felt different. Can I see how middle school teachers point to the character and say “Be yourself!” “Don’t judge others!” but it’s hard when our narrator is just like them. And the other students my GOD, they were so cruel. Was that really how high school was? Did people care that much? I just really felt for Stargirl, even if she didn’t care.

I feel no sympathy for Leo’s bread slice ass. He was a dick, wanted to be with Stargirl, but only in secret. Got her to change, and couldn’t face how unhappy that made her. Was Stargirl kind of annoying and a little cringy? Sure. But she cared, she was endearing, and was a really fun character to read about.

I’m happy to have read this, I’ll debate continuing on with the second book.

The first book is amazing... the second, not as amazing, but not bad.

I was probably around 12(?) last time I read this. I loved it, I used to read it all the time. Probably quite a different experience reading it after high school but still fantastic. Just a lovely reminder to stay true, be kind, and to notice the little things. Stargirl and Luna Lovegood would be fantastic friends.

A wonderful book. Leo is Everybody and Stargirl is just awesome!

Appreciate what's there for it may not be there for long.
