I ate this up, it was perfection. One of my top books this year. It had me crying and laughing in the same page sometimes. I could have finished this in one sitting it was so good. Brittainy Cherry is so good, I’ve only read two of her books so far but they have both been so good. Will definitely be reading more.

Me arrependi de ter enrolado tantos anos pra ler esse livro.
Grey e Ellie me conquistaram e me fizeram chorar com eles. Karla e Lorelai são inesquecíveis, cada uma do seu jeito e com sua trajetória.
É uma história dramática, comovente e linda.
Derramei lágrimas, sorri e fiquei com o coração quentinho!

Definitely one of my all-time favorite books! This book was so emotional and wonderful and sweet and amazing and all of the good things. I am in love with Eleanor & Grey's story and I'm not going to say anymore so that I don't spoil anything...but just go read it, like yesterday.

There are books that just touch your heart and this one not only touched it, but exploded it. From the moment Eleanor and Grey met there was something there, at first distrust as to why Grey would be talking to the girl who is reading a book at a party, to wondering why he was seeking her out, to friendship, to relying on each other for their own happiness.
It was a friendship that became everything. While they were young they were both struggling with big issues. Eleanor has the best kind of parents, so in love with each other. Her mother always spending time with her and encouraging her. However when her mother gets sick, Grey is the one who holds her together. The way Grey went out of his way to distract Eleanor and give her some happy moments among the hard times, broke my heart.
When she has to move away they keep up their friendship but ultimately the time apart, grief, and Eleanor wanting Grey to live a normal college life their friendship grows apart.
Many years later Eleanor finds herself applying for a nanny position and doesn't realize it is for Grey and his children. When she sees him, she almost doesn't recognize him. Gone is the fun loving, carefree boy she loved and replaced with it is a cold grief stricken man.
Through working for him, she gets to know his children and while one is freely open and loving, the older child is mean spirited and troubled which is just a mask for the grief and scars she can't hide.
While Grey pushes her away at every chance, there is no denying that their connection is still there. Whether they deny it, rekindle it, or let it go there is a chance that they just might need each other to heal.
As always Brittainy Cherry finds a way to break me and then give me hope that love like this exists. The kind of love that pulls you out of darkness, gives you hope, and heals your broken pieces making them better than they were before.
